Brand Sketches /

The Brand Sketches series is a fun project for this studio, if only because it straddles the gap between advertising and fine art in such a direct way. Whether intentionally or by surprise, I’ll stumble upon sketch-worthy examples of brands that inspire me and bring happiness/usefulness to others. I’ll proceed to a composition board, flood them with color and texture, apply embellishments, and so on.

The following images are a year-long collection of brand sketches, ranging from product and storefront design such as Design Within Reach and Club Corp properties, to automotive marques and showroom environments like Park Place Dealerships, to food and beverage establishments like Del Frisco's and Perry's Steakhouse, to coworking brands like WeWork and Spaces/Regus. Some examples are clients of the studio, others are not, and a few are wishful thinking.
